Web directories are very passive:
They don’t crawl the web to find new pages. You have to go to them.
There are some strategies to overcome this:
A. Require a link back for listing.
B. Build a directory in conjunction with:
- An established, active community or forum.
- An active blog.
- A news or magazine site.
